Get into These Grooves

Scott McPherson wrote this this super-nice, super politically correct review of my show on The Advocate Art Department’s website:

This week, we searched high and low for video evidence of Advocate managing editor Winston Gieseke singing and dancing in front of a sold out crowd in Hollywood, to songs from artists like Britney Spears and Sir Mix-a-Lot. “Winston’s Dance Party,” is a medley number from his one-man show Accidentally Overserved [at M Bar], and combines 30 popular up-tempo tunes, each cleverly woven into one seamless score, arranged by Winston himself. Most of The Advocate’s staff was in attendance to cheer him on (and probably ask themselves, where on earth does he finds the time to write and score a one-man show between managing the content of multiple publications). Sadly the art department was out of town for a photo shoot. So we happily accept this front row seat (and two drink minimum) YouTube video as our VIP ticket. Cheers!

Below is the video for “Winston’s Dance Party (Come and Get It)” a.k.a. “30 Uptempo Songs You Might Recognize.”
