‘GTIHU’: A Review! Sort Of

My attempts to get the L.A. Weekly to see my show were unsuccessful. But thankfully, a gentleman by the name of Barry Goold gave me this sort of nice write-up. I don’t actually know him but I’m grateful he came to the show, which he said was “pretty good.” (As far as my live performances go, it’s my best review to date.)

Barry sez:
I had dinner with B. on Saturday night, followed by a performance by Winston Gieseke at the split-id theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. It was a pretty good show — he did several “Moulin Rouge” kind of numbers (using the hook lines of many pop songs in the same theme to compose a new song) which worked well generally. It was party comedy, part serious. The comedy worked better than the serious, in my opinion.

Not sure, but he might have been talking about this number, the “Feeling Shitty About Yourself Medley”:

Many thanks, Barry.
